If You Want to Stop Smoking, Read This Story And Learn From It

Still smoking? Want to stop smoking but are afraid to give it up? Do you think you can’t live without your nicotine fix every day? Believe me, I do know how you feel. I have been in the same position you are right now. My cigarettes were my life, in fact, they controlled everything I did. The first thing I did was light up in the morning, even before I had my first cup of coffee. Then I sipped and smoked just to get started on the day. Ahh..so good. Fine, I went outside and stood there in all kinds of weather, looking like the fool that I was. Nothing deters a die-hard smoker. It doesn’t matter if the rain is pelting down or the snow and ice is stinging you and the weather is minus 20 degrees. You will do anything to get your fix. The next thing you know, you’ll be scrounging through the ashtray in your car for a butt with a puff or two left. How do I know that? Take a guess.

Okay, let’s get serious. After frequent visits to the doctor’s office for what I thought were a series of colds that never really went away, she told me what was going on. Smoking was the cause for all the coughing, and if I didn’t make up my mind to quit, my lungs were not going to take any more abuse. Thankfully, I didn’t have any type of cancer yet, but at the rate I was going, it was inevitable that something bad was going to happen. That’s pretty much when and why I decided that if I wanted to have any kind of life, I had to get rid of that addiction to nicotine, one way or the other.
